  1. Last summer...East Africa drought: DEC appeals for funds The Disasters Emergency Committee is made up of 14 member agencies which provide aid after a disaster in one of the world's poorer countries. They are the leading UK humanitarian charities

These are LEDC’s or the developing world. Developing country – (LEDC) used to be known as a third world county. Ledc/medc
